Over/Growth

Six visual artists were invited to Vashon Center for the Arts’ Summer Arts Fest to create work that reflects on our re-engagement with the natural world after a long period of isolation.   Over/Growth, was an exhibition of medium to large scale outdoor installations that reflect on our place within the natural world and our effects on it.

For Over/Growth, the challenge put out to artists was to design and build a site specific, themed installation that creatively used natural materials. The selected artists included Allison Trundle Crain, Nate Clark, Justin Brandimarte, and Over/Growth producers Leslie Zenz and Cyra Jane (Luce Morgana collectively). Each artist responded to the challenge in strikingly different and deeply interesting ways.
